Prognostic Value of Lymph Node Density in Lingual Squamous Cell Carcinoma

چکیده
Lymph node density (LND)—the proportion of positive nodes among the total number resected nodes—has emerged as a reliable prognostic factor in solid tumors. This study aims to assess importance LND lingual squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC) and its involvement. A retrospective longitudinal with 62 patients was performed. All were diagnosed LSCC submitted for tumor resection neck dissection. Patients stratified into low (<0.04) high risk (≥0.04) based on LND. We analyzed impact overall survival (OS) disease-free (DFS), well relationship between pathological staging, involvement margins, depth invasion (DOI) perineural infiltration. provides substantial lymph (LND), (DFS) (LSCC). statistically significant distribution found LND, infiltration whereas no association rest variables analyzed.

متن کاملCorrelation between p33ING1b Cytoplasmic Transfer and Lymph Node Metastasis in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Background: Oral squamous cell carcinoma is the sixth most common malignancy in the world today. ING1b/p33 is a newly-discovered tumor suppressor which enhances p53 activity. Transfer of p33 protein from nucleus to cytoplasmic compartment has been previously reported in leukemias. The objective of this study was to determine the correlation between p33ing1b cytoplasmic transfer and lymph node ...
